I’m trying to swap out the broken movement in my Autodromo, but I can’t figure out how to separate the two parts of the case. Also, last time I took it to a repair place the top piece was put on wrong, because the indent in the picture above is supposed to be over the crown. (You can see where it’s supposed to be in the second photo) I’m sure someone here has seen a watch like this before and knows better than I do.

It is either a screw-down case or snap-on case. I would attempt to grip and turn the top of the case counter-clockwise in order to unscrew it. Some rubber or nitrile gloves would help with grip. If it does not unscrew, then you will need a type of non-marring tool to pry it apart (credit card edge might work), but I would strongly suggest contacting Autodromo about how the case is suppose to come apart.
OR, looking at your photos, there might be a black plastic snap-ring that holds the movement in. You might be able to get a pick and take the snap-ring out, but I’m not sure if that plastic edge is part of the case or not.

The movement is attached to the back of the face, so I think I need to take the case apart to get the whole assembly out. I’ll definitely email them though to find out which type it is.
Thanks!

If I’m remembering correctly, the case is a snap closure but perhaps best to reach out to Autodromo to be sure.

I’m waiting for an email back from them, but it looks like it probably does snap together
